Tower of London poppies

Today I visited the Tower of London to see the poppies. For those of you who don't know, the Tower of London are remembering those killed during the First World War. The whole thing is an art installation called Bloodswept Lands and Seas of Red by the artist Paul Cummins. Each poppy represents a fatality from the British military during the war, astonishingly this means there will be 888,246 ceramic poppies. As you will see in my photos the volunteers are still installing the poppies. The installation will be there until 11th November 2014, so there is still plenty of time for you to make a visit. I hope you enjoy the photos I took during my visit. I found it very moving but beautiful. It is probably the best piece of art I have seen this year.
